Juni und Dezember 2015 entstanden f\u00fcnf B\u00fccher, die das wieder\u00adkehrende Motiv einer abbrennenden Kerze an f\u00fcnf f\u00fcr Hessam Samavatian relevanten Orten dokumentieren. Vom Moment des Anz\u00fcndens bis zum Augenblick des Ausgehens wird in Etappen ihre Lebens\u00addauer von etwa acht Stunden 1) am Arbeitstisch, 2) im Atelier, 3) im Treppen\u00adhaus der Angewandten, 4) an der Uni\u00adversit\u00e4t f\u00fcr angewandte Kunst sowie 5) am Weg von dort nach Hause mittels 10 Polaroids aufgezeichnet. \u201eErst wenn die Kerze brennt, ist sie in ihrem Element. Sie existiert, indem sie vergeht.\u201c (Hessam Samavatian) Die Fotografie kann nicht gegen die Verg\u00e4nglichkeit, aber gegen \u00a0das Vergessen antreten. Das Polaroid betont einmal mehr den Augenblick, der sich in seine Chemie einschreibt und bereits wenig sp\u00e4ter als Bild wieder in Er\u00adscheinung tritt.
