Stop-bath liquid was splashed onto exposed photographic paper before it was developed and creates milky veils and points of light emerging from the darkness. Once again, a complicated natural phenomenon can be visually imitated by the simplest chemical application and, in a figurative sense, depict the “development” of matter that led to a “fixing” in the form of stars.
